THE CHALLENGE
Radical restructuring of a Central Government Agency in 2006 led to a federated structure, with delivery agencies supported by core policy and business functions. Responsibilities for IT were shared between several departments, leading to confusion over roles and responsibilities and a lack of accountability.
THE APPROACH
Qedis worked with key stakeholders from across the agency to define a new functional model for IT. The team then developed the detailed operating model and role descriptions. Finally, Qedis helped the client to recruit and onboard people to fill gaps in existing roles.
THE RESULTS
- A shared strategic vision and blueprint across the different delivery groups
- An operating model for service is delivered and projects get completed
